A big congratulations to Rob K. for completing his first solo flight this morning!
On the morning of December 8th, Rob and CFI Jack took up N271VA to hit the pattern. Winds were favorable and the overcast layer made the air silky smooth. After impressing Jack with three “buttery” landings, Jack hopped out and sent Rob out solo!
After a quick run-up, Rob took to the skies. The pattern was quiet and Rob had three very stable approaches followed by some greased landings. He then taxied back and was greeted by an excited and proud CFI Jack and CHI staff.
Rob’s determined attitude once he walks in the door is reflected in his flying and we can’t wait to see him tackle the next stage of training.
Great job Rob!
