Congratulations to Tim K. on his first solo in the Vans RV-12!! Tim flew N271Va on August 30, 2018 from Portsmouth International Airport (KPSM). Tim had flown about 30 years ago and even soloed. He took a break from aviation but just couldn’t stay away from it! He’s a great example of someone who took action to achieve his goal of becoming a pilot, even after a long break. Tim took a few lessons down at Beverly municipal airport and then decided to start training with us at CHI Aerospace. He’s been with us since and is now up to his “re-solo” - but after 30 years, it’s nearly a first solo all over again. He’ll be finishing the rest of his hours up to achieve a sport pilot airman certificate. We’re proud of you Tim; great job!
