Congratulations to Doug M. for completing his first solo flight!
On June 15th, Doug and CFI John Tiplady flew up to Skyhaven Airport (KDAW) in N271VA. After a few laps in the pattern, John hopped out of the plane and sent Doug out to solo for the first time! Doug completed his three touch-and-gos (greased the landings) and one go-around from runway 33.
Doug has worked hard to save up his own money for his flight training, and has proven to be a diligent and focused student! In the future, Doug would like to pursue a career in aviation.
