Checkride PASSED! - Private Pilot Johannes S.

A massive congratulations to Johannes S. - CHI Aerospace’s newest Private Pilot!! Johannes took his check-ride in N266VA on Friday, July 20th.

He flew up to Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport (KSFM) to for a 1:30 oral with Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) John Gary. His oral went quote “swimmingly well” and off they went to cover the practical portion of the exam. Of course it ended up being a really busy day in the SFM traffic pattern. That’s okay though - Johannes could handle it. He ended up walking away with a crisp piece of paper printed from IACRA saying that he is now a private pilot. Great job, Johannes!

Johannes graduated from high school and realized that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps - be a pilot for American Airlines. He took his introductory flight with us and fell in love with the world of aviation. Along the way, he ended up landing a job with us here at CHI Aerospace. On the weekends, he helps with flight operations, simulators, and a handful of other tasks. After months of hard work (and maybe more than couple breaks in his training for vacations…!) he earned his wings. We’re proud of you, Jojo!
